Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

Abuse is like depression: it gets into your head and starts to tell you lies. Lies that are designed to separate you from people who love you, and from resources that can help you find a better life.
Please, do not plead with your boyfriend. You do NOT need his permission to leave. You do NOT need his permission to talk to others. You do NOT need his permission to talk to your family.
If you have trouble knowing how to talk to people on these hotlines, tell them that a friend on your online support site urged you to make the call. Tell them that you have friends who are worried for you, and that you are so confused you don't know what to do.
Please, take care of you now.
Gentle hugs
Just go, it will all be okay. Xxx
You want a sense of peace from him so that you do not feel like you were not loved; I understand that, by having him be sorry, you get a validation that it wasn't you. You don't need that. KNOW that it was him that was wrong, he was the one that hurt you and that you do NOT deserve it and you will NOT TOLERATE IT. Stand up for yourself... once he is gone the pain will start to go away, you will find more self worth in yourself and you will find that you deserve to be treated with respect. Do not allow anything less.
