The past two days have been terrible. I’m in a really dark place and I can’t get out. Usually it’ll fade out, but not this time. I feel so worthless and sad . I had my daughter about 3 months ago and I think it may have something to do with ppd. It sucks bc in real life I automatically can seem to appear to be functioning normally , but inside I’m dying. I need a friend , I feel like I have no one to talk to

Hope the dog days of summer aren't getting you down!

kind of treatment. You might need more help than you can give
yourself.
Sending hugs and support!
I had PPD so bad,, back when I had my 1st. I had no idea how to be a Mom. I was scared to death that i was going to hurt her somehow (not intentionally,, that would be when I had my second 2 yrs later,, that's a whole other story!!) I tried to breastfeed cuz my mother-in-law was SOO persistent..kept telling me how she breastfeed all 5 of her children!! Well , goodie for you,, I HATE IT! IT HURT,, AND I DID HAVE ENOUGH MILK,, felt like I was starving her. When I started her on a bottle,, my daughter was like a different baby. Grinning,, actually focusing on me. That was all good.. But I still cried every day! ...ALL DAY! Thank God for our elderly neighbor lady,, who heard me crying all the time. She told me "let me watch her for an hour or 2,, you go for a walk, , take a nap,, go for a drive. I cried the whole time thanking her and telling her how much I appreciated it. Honestly,, it took 2 days, only few minutes each day..til I realized how much I missed my daughter, and looked forward to be able to feed her as she looked at me. I would sing to her which made her smile...kept singing ...over time. ..that is when she started cooing. , trying to sing with me. No longer did I cry.. I was proud to have that "whole responsibility"... cuz she was mine...and in her smile. I could see the trust and love in her eyes.
It will get better... music makes things heal faster,, and makes everyone feel good.
...good thoughts I'm sending to you....but in song
Glad some ladies here are giving you some good advice, and some of what they went through. You're clearly not alone in this battle. Hope you can see your doctor soon.
