On December 22 there was flooding in my area and I lost my internet connection. My home is on a hill so I did not experience any loss or damage, PTL, but I had to drive 40 extra miles a day to work and back for a week. The store where I work was really busy, then right after the holidays we had to begin the yearly inventory.
I kept having troubles with that old car and one day some idiot came blowing through a red light and slammed into me. I waited for 2 hours In the cold for a tow truck. The other driver admitted liability right away, and his agent settled with me in 3 days, but it took 10 more days for me to get my money from the company out of state home office.
I was not injured, but very inconvenienced and angry at the unfairness of it all. My therapist was on vacation and I had one to talk to
Some good has come my way. My boss has decided to keep the store open until the license expires in July so I am not going to be unemployed right away. I used the insurance money to pay off an existing loan and this week assumed new debt and bought another car.
And this evening my internet provider sent a tech to my home to find why I was still unable to access the internet and he discovered a faulty Y-adapter!!!!! Something that simple.
I feel all my ducks are in a row now ..til next time

This is a multiple choice quiz so even if you're not entirely sure you can always take a guess and at least have a 25% chance of getting it right anyway, so why not have a go?! https://www.buzzfeed.com/alysaurus688/rom-com-screenshot-trivia-quiz

So it has all worked out the way God planned for it to
Buying that car on Monday was a stressful deal. It is not what I wanted, but what I could afford right now. Then there was getting financing and insurance and getting to work on time.
My coworker changed shifts with me that day, and although she does not put much importance on showing up on time I knew she would expect me to be there.
But.....Tuesday I found a hairdresser to cut my hair the way I wanted it cut. I was happy about that.
This 10 year old car did not come with an owners manual, but Wednesday I figured out how to set the clock all by myself. Yea!
Thursday I got my internet connection back.
Friday I managed to get this cranky new printer installed on my computer. I had been trying for about two months to do that and finally succeeded.
I wrote in my journal that I need someone to pinch me. This cannot be me with so many things going my way. All of my ducks are in a row now.
Then wrote "surely something really is about to happen. For the last 3 years, every time I think I am getting ahead something happens to drive me 10 steps back."
.
I wish there was some other place to go and have some fun besides a casino.
I am not lonely, but I do get lonesome sometimes and there is nothing holding me down at home

I'd recommend that you start playing video games, or take up other hobbies such as drawing, painting, pottery, or reading a book. TV is also always available for watching, but you also have access to the net now, and there is a lot of sites you can visit, lots of stuff you could read.
There is a hobby in particular that I want to start up, and thats cooking. But my problem is I lack the motivation to start. Someone gifted me a crock pot, a nice one, all I need to do is read the manual for it, get some recipes, and go out and get the ingredients. But if you know me, you know thats easier said then done, cause once again, I lack the motivation lol.
But the point is, its always good to have hobbies, weather it be cooking or anything else. However, I don't recommend Casino's as a hobby, I don't see anything good coming from that. You'd have better luck spending 100 dollars on food, and creating a big meal for a big family.
I started crocheting potholders a year ago. I have given about a hundred away and have almost that many piled on an end table. I have been mentoring a female prison inmate in another state for many years.
Video games? Really!
There is not much on television that does not insult my intelligence. I mostly watch the Weather Channel
I have a short term memory problem since my stroke and do not enjoy reading like I used to.
All of your alternative to the casino suggestions are things to do alone at home. You missed my point. I felt I needed to get away for a while and have some fun. It wont happen often.
The car? Well, it is not what I wanted, but the best I can afford right now. It is a 4-door gray sedan and
I wanted a red SUV. There was not one anywhere around.
