I'm sorry you broke down. Is it a for sure that you can't have children? If you can't, then that gives you more room to spoil the heck out of your new niece! And no honey, you are NOT pathetic. It's alright to feel the way you do,you can be happy for her and sad for yourself. there's a great bond between an aunt and a niece, believe me it's like having your own, take part in her life as much as you can

Please don't say that about yourself. You are a kind, loving person who longs for children, which is so very normal. Nothing wrong with that at all.

My sister spent huge amounts of time with my son when he was little. I was a single Mom and not very athletic and she was so she taught him how to skate, play baseball, etc.

She never had any kids of her own but she spent lots of quality time being the 'fun' Aunty just as someone else had mentioned. I hope you too get lots of opportunity to enjoy the newest family member. Hugs Kelley

You seem to have a lot of love inside of you. I dont think you would have had that reaction if you didnt. Keep giving that love to the ones you already have especially that new one and her mommy and you will get the love you need. And hopefully even the love you want someday. Dont change.

I already do enjoy my little niece I love holding her, but the pain is there inside me I guess longing for my own, but believe me I will be lovin my little niece to pieces, already do.

It's a new day and I'm checking in to see if you are feeling any better? Did you say that no man would want you because you can't have children? There are so many people that don't want children, I was amazed. That doesn't even count the ones the can't have any. Being an Aunt is going to be a wonderful, fulfilling joy in your life.
