Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

Had thoughts of suicide this morning. I tried other support groups but never really got the support i needed. I just really need someone to talk too. That has seemed to work the best for me. I'm broke and live in the middle of nowhere where there is no free clinics for mental health. trust me I have looked at all my options. I need help. I'm tired of liveing like this!! could someone just talk to me and help me through this. I have a horrible long story for the reason I have been liveing with anxiety, depression, and pstd.
Ummmm. well thanks for reading.

I've been battleind depression, anxiety, and ptsd for so long now that its just old. I can't afford to get a therapist, and there are no clinics in the nowhere land that i live. I'm haveing a REALLY bad time in my head today. I haevn't been suicidal in many years. I haven't tried anything and I probably won't. I just cant get this feeling of pure and uter hopelessness to go away today. I seen a woman on atv show i was watching first thing this morn take a bunch of pills to commit suicide. and it got my brain to thinking really bad thoughts again. I have no support system. I am basically crying out for help before I start banging my head into the floor again. ( thats not being sarcastic)

Hi - I am gently encouraging you to see your doctor and let him know how you're feeling. I'm concerned for your safety. I'm assuming you have a family doctor? I feel an urgency to get you to seek his help. Best wishes to you.

How about going to your local ER? Tell them how you are feeling. Perhaps they can refer you to someone who can do pro bono, (free) therapy. My therapist has been taking me pro bono for awhile now. Sometimes when therapists are coming out of training, before they are officially certified, they must put in a certain amount of hours of free therapy. The ER can write off your visit for indigent care. Been there, done that. They probably can give you some antidepressants as well. It is worth a try, anyway.

If you feel that you can't take it further from where you are now call to a crisis line. They are free and they can help you to get more help. Please don't give up. You will find help from a social worker working for public service and the gov. Well if you need to talk , I'm available the weekends. Take care and I will add you to my prayers. GBY
