I decided that it is time I have a car. Life is becoming more and more inconvenient without one all the time. I worked it out that I can manage to make insurance payments each month and afford to run a car. The only thing I can't afford is to actually purchase one at the moment.

I talked to my parents about it and they have agreed to lend me the money to purchase a car and have me pay them back after I graduate next year.

So we started looking just last week, figuring it would be quite a process... but the PERFECT car simply landed right in our laps! In a matter of days my Dad had gotten into contact with a man selling a 1999 Toyota Corolla for under 4 grand! It's in perfect condition - the only person who ever drove it was this mans father, who's well into his 80s. We all know if you're gunna buy used, you buy from a senior! This guy took impeccable care of the car - he even showed us his highly detailed maintenance record which contains records from every tune up, oil change, etc which are like clock work on the month. There has never been any major work done to the car, and the thing has not a spot of rust anywhere or the tiniest bit of grime under the hood. It literally looks and feels like we just drove it right off the lot! (took it for a test drive tonight)

Anyways, we have decided to make the purchase :)

I should officially have it on the road on Wednesday!

Also.. tomorrow I look at an apartment when I get back from snowboarding. Been talking to this girl on the phone a bit and she seems cool - so here's to hoping I land myself an apartment tomorrow too!
