Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
The genuine silent feeling versus the attention-seeking behaviour.
Huge difference.
The former retains their own and others' respect and can slowly heal from their issues in their own time. The latter wrecks everyone's good time, and eventually gets told that if they feel this bad, they should end it all. Nobody wants them to end it all of course, but they feel the person is caught up in their own psychodrama and manipulating them. And they're over it. So they challenge the emotional blackmail: "end this behaviour one way or the other, we have had enough of it."
If you've driven them to that point you have to take responsibility for that.
If you are genuinely depressed, then go see a doctor or counsellor, get antidepressants and counselling, and sort it out.
Everyone around you will have faced suicide themselves. Half of your friends will have severe depression or anxiety. Can you spot them?
Why not?
