For the past two weeks now, our landlord has been fixing up the apartment above us. The problem is, it goes on ALL DAY and it is preventing me from relaxing. All I hear is hammering and drilling 24/7. The worst part of it is, ever since he started banging away up there, we no longer get any hot water and rust is coming out of the pipes. Also, the stove doesn't work and neither does the bathroom sink. When the HELL is this slumlord going to fix our apartment?

Like Pepper says, you can VERY likely take some action on the above issues ... google 'tenant rights' and see what you can find. Problem is .. after taking action, you get to live under the same landlord .. which may be 'sticky' at best.
They have let pest control go, and also landscaping! This place is getting very jungle-ish. The bugs are coming in because of the intense heat outside......yeah whomever owns this place has decided it is not a priority for them at this particular time.
It sucks. Hope yours gets fixed soon!
