I just made this account and I just joined this group. I've struggled with depression since I was a child. I'm 26 years old and a single mother to a five-year-old boy.
Still going, I was a single mother for 5 Years. I married my husband now when my daughter was 6. She is 32 now. I don't count the time with her biological father because he didn't work and was a partying irresponsible alcoholic. I took care of him the 3 years we were together off and on..
I also have a son that is 26 and is in graduate school. Both my kids deal with depression too. My son is on the same antidepressant as me.
Don't be scared for your son, if he sees you taking care of yourself be getting help. He will be more likely to get help too if he ever needs it.
Anyway, I hope and pray we both get help here.
