You are young, beautiful, smart, and should have all the happiness anyone else does.
You do not mention any medical care for your situation. Depression is a deadly disease, but is VERY treatable.
I REALLY hope you get a MEDICAL evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment plan. You already see what Depression CAN do. Please seek help from the medical profession. It does NOT have to be this way.
I can feel your pain and frustration.
I hope that you will get a good night's sleep first of all. Feeling well rested can make a HUGE change in the way we feel. That said, I think you may be dealing with some issues that feel big but may be easier to correct than you think.
It sounds like you and your Mom are very close and that's a good thing. She wants you to be happy. I don't think she is DEMANDING that you be happy. I suspect that if you're not enjoying your time at college, your Mom would like to know that too. Be honest with her. You love her and she loves you, so rather than worrying about disappointing her, what would happen if you told her that you feel lonely, sad and frustrated at college? That you'd rather be somewhere else---maybe at home?
That would probably take some of the burden away.
But also, you are in a college environment where partying is an unfortunate part of the scene. If you're trying to do the right thing, it means being left out of the "fun". Honestly, you are a LOT better off for not being included in that.
I wonder if you can find the other guys and girls who feel the same way you do when everyone else is partying. Maybe there are good friends to be found on your campus but you have to seek them out.
I'm praying for you. I promise you it won't always feel this way. It will get better.
