Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
Have you spoken to your Dr about what these options are? Do you have someone in your family who can support you and help you. Perhaps if you took someone with you to appointments they could make notes for you because if you are anything like me the second you leave the room you have forgotten half of what was said.
It's okay to be scared, and it's okay to not be sure what is going to happen, but ending it is not the answer. We are here for you okay? If you need someone to talk to, we can listen.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer August 17, 2011, and I finished treatment this June. The treatment was FAR less painful, uncomfortable or scary than I expected it to be. And I have another serious medical condition which made it all a lot more dicey.
I was always treated with kindness and respect by the medical staff, and they prescribed Ativan to help with the anxiety. I had to go through chemo, but it was not as bad as I expected. (I even had a chemo regimen that didn't cause me to lose my hair.)
I discovered a great website called breastcancer.org, where you can find thousands of women who have all different kinds of breast cancer, and just about any question you might have can be answered there. Really great place. It was created by a medical doctor, too.
Oh, and yes, I know that numb feeling! There is so much to take in
-- and everything moves so fast at first. Actually, it's like you hurry up and do something (an exam or surgery) and then you wait (for results, another appointment) ... then you hurry up and do something else and then wait .... It's kind of weird that way.
Please message me anytime you have a question -- I would love to help. When I got my diagnosis and throughout treatment, I did a TON of research, so I'm pretty well-informed.
Prayers for you ... you will get through this, and find it isn't as hard as you fear.
