Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
Did I write too much? lol I hope you start to feel better than slumpy. And welcome to our little group.
I also address loneliness by talking to God. I am a Christian, so I know that Jesus is with us, we just can't see him as substance. I talk with Him all the time and listen for Him in what He shows me -- little thoughts that are better quality (beautiful, funny, accepting, trusting), thought that I would not normally think on my own.
Remember that sometimes our brains just get tired. Brains need rest just like the rest of our body. They are regulated by electrical signals, hormones, chemicals, etc. that ebb and flow, and through it all you are still "you" in your values, roles, sense of humor, how you define beauty, etc.
I'm glad your here on dailystrength. Reaching out and connecting is healthy :).
