Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
You're absolutely right...she does need you right now. Use that as motivation as much as you can, but be sure to take the time you need to rest so you don't get burned out.
It's always easier to fall back into the pit when we're burned out, so recognize when you're on the edge, and take some time. Nobody's gonna feel that you're selfish or anything like that, and you'll be a better support for your sister if you can keep your own head up.
Big hugs...it'll be okay...
Dont go back, you are better than that!
Don't be afraid to be happy that it is not you; this does NOT mean anything negative for your sister.
Accept that you can not be part of her medical treatment, as in you are not her doctor, nurse, etc. Know that you are part of her support system.
Gentle hugs
