I was taking 30mg of generic Lexapro..a pill & a half. I felt myself slipping into a deep depression, so I bumped myself up to 40mg or 2 pills. It has seemed to help. Has anyone else ever done this with your meds? My doctor wasnt mad, but says that 40mg is the highest dose available, so now I am scared that it will stop working..what next? I have tried so many different anti-depressants, I cant remember them all. I dont want to start the process all over again.
Respectfully, I cannot agree with managing our own meds. Maybe the dr meant you in particular, because you understand them really well. Im just a mother hen about stuff like this. Pharmaceuticals are so complicated and how they intermix and can be deadly.
