Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
You are who you are and as long as you try your best every day, there truly is nothing to be shameful of. Yes, much easier said than done and feelings don't often reflect fact. I'm working on this as well. This time of year can be a real drag, especially when there's any kind of psychological adversity. It's demeaning to be banished to the kid's table and to feel that parents are embarrassed of you. But here you are, alive and reaching out. Many people might turn to other unhealthy and potentially lethal coping devices. I see a lot of that as an EMT and admittedly, I take part in that poor choice too. You're not alone. Life is tough as all hell. Take pride in making it this far and take solice in knowing that you are not alone. With time and calm, open communication, a respectful
understanding may be reached by family members. If not and you've exhausted all efforts at the best of your ability, then so it goes. It may hurt, but you did your part. I don't know. I hope this helps.
I’m a Christian. I love Christmas ( the real meaning ) but it’s really stressful and I don’t like that part.
I deal with a lot of stress all year. I wish it would stop at least for Christmas.
