Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
It's easy to feel uncared for when people aren't able to communicate and connect with you in the way you need. And it's so hard not to internalize that silence as a reflection of your worth. But the truth is not about you. Most people (including children) that the way other people operate is not about you. Most people are so caught up in their own responsibilities, struggles, and anxiety that the thought of asking someone else how they're doing doesn't even cross their mind. They aren't inherently bad or uncaring--they're just busy and self-focused. And that's okay. It's not evidence of some fundamental failing on your part. It doesn't make you unlovable or invisible. It just means that those people aren't very good at looking beyond their own world.
I know my telling you that you are a worthy and deserving mother isn't going to help how you are feeling, but I still want you to know how special you are. With Love and Hugs Gramybear
My younger son considers me dead
My oldest only talks to me for money (although I do feel more of a love bond with him).
My mother didn't answer my Happy Mothers Day text or mention the card I sent to her.
Other stuff happened yest...but this is your post.
I AM SO GLAD you GOT TO THE ANGRY point...I have been there..and it actually helps us not to hurt so bad anymore.
Only I hope that you are not so much like me...because my "anger" stages I have been thru...didn't last long before going back to despair.
I'm sorry you feel like this....and I just wanted to say...you are not alone gordo...
LOL....
