Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

You sound very down, I've been in that state. Cleaning house is one of those things that you have to make yourself do, even only a tiny bit, because when it's spiralling down I know I get bad bad bad mental health. If I can't keep the house ticking over at all, I just deteriorate fast.
The way I do it is 'tidy in the ads'. With the kids is fine. Turn it into a game. During the ads you all race off and clean the toilet. Then run back to the show. Something like that. when the anxiety kicks in I'm crippled, stuck in my chair. I can sort of force myself, after a couple of ad breaks, to get out of the chair, race off and just do the loo... or just do the bath, or the vanity. LOL. Sad world.
Another game: make a kitchen cupboard into a blackboard. Write the list of chores. Be as detailed as you like. Break them down to ad-break sized chunks.
Honestly if you can lift yourself out of this at all, it will help. You're home alone, raising the kids alone with an absentee husband. It IS hard, it IS motivation free. you have to find ways to make it easier and less demoralising.
