Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
I was more comfortable asking for help as a teen and telling people of my personal struggles to help others grow. This in turn made me feel stronger and prouder of myself and took the hurt away from the memories. But now I stuff the pain and try to ignore it.
I am lucky to have my friends and family who are happy and healthy. THey make it easier to stay focused on being content. My husband doesn't understand my blue days. He says go play with the kids instead of standing around and watching them. But on these days I feel paralyzed by worry about all the things I have to do, the deadlines, the bills, anything and everything.....being overweight, and stopping destructive behaviors.
I wrote a lot of poetry in college and really like how you write...you put a lot of passion into your words. I want to help you reflect and grow if you want to share more...
