Do you know the area at all, or have friends who do? I did this and used the yellow pages to call and schedule tours. Otherwise there are apartment finders online. Know how much you need to budget for food/ gas utilities and other misc. and set a budget for rent.

Make sure that you carefully read the lease agreement before signing, and if there are needed modifications they indicate it in the pprwork...also do a walkthrough w. a videocamera, or dateback camera prior to move in to doccumet any damage they may try to keep your deposit or charge u for.

classifieds, either in the newspaper or online, other online websites, try googling "apartments".
If you already have a job, how far away are you going to want to commute? Try driving around the area, and get some phone numbers and adresses of some places that look compatable with your income and you're willing to live in.

Thanks for all the help. I am visiting craigslist.com daily. It is suddenly hitting me that I only have two months left to find it and I need a roommate b/c I only make 19,000/yr. This is my first time living on my own. I already live here in college dorms but my loans pay for that. I am just scared of the bills, but I think it will be ok

good old paper always works for me
