Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
One thing that has worked for me is to "devaluate" the things that anger me. For example, golf frustrated (perhaps the key word) and angered me. So when I stopped caring about my score, or what others thought of my form, I had more fun. Then I realized that despite the energy I was spending on the sport, I really did not like it to start with!

ps, I'd take it up again if I could find people who don't care if you change the silly rules. Things like playing the ball where it lies, having to putt out when you are only 15 or 20 feet from the hole, things like that!
