I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
If you do have one of these. Part of the symptoms is lack of concentration. Shit I could not read a kids bopok "Harry Potter" for 2 years my concentration was so bad.
Since I am on meds for my depression it is a lot bettter I am able to read and have even done my universtiy assignements.
I still get times when I can't concentrate or find it hard to just think of one thing so I :
1. Write a lits of the things I have to do today and mark it off as i do it.
2.Keep a journal so i can write my thoughts down and all my owriies then go that it is it is on papaer now I don;t have to think about them any more.
3. Go for a walk to just be out in nature and let my thoughts wonder and takes away the pent up energy. Exercise also releases good hormones
4. put aside 15 minutes to worry and stress about something then stop. As you have done your stres time. When your mind starts to wonder bring it back to the presents and say, "No I am thinking this now"
4. Go easy on yourself as your brain is dealing with a lot of shit if you are suffering from depression.
I hope this helps.
