I'm living in a state of fear at night, being alone. I almost wish that I was living with my parents, which is a shameful, humiliating thought. I just want to feel safe again. I'm so poor. I have no way to climb out. And I want death now.
A few years ago, I attempted suicide. I was at the height of my legal career, which is to say, I was working 80-90 hours a week doing bullshit work. My engagement fell apart. I found a relatively empty park, some scotch and sleeping pills. I got found.
And I spent two years unemployed until I found teaching. And after a couple of years of teaching, I'm back wishing it was over. I just want to hide. At the same time, I don't want to be alone. Therapy and pills are not helping.
I'm exhausted. I don't have a direction.

Well at least you found teaching and are doing something meaningful.

Is moving back in with your parents feasible?? Seriously..........
If your parents are still alive, and you need help, why not broach the subject??? Maybe, just maybe they would love the idea.
You could help them and they could help you. My daughter who is 24 has been living here for almost a year. She moved out when she was 18, lived on her own for 5 years, lost her job and needed help. And I love having her here. I'm basically living with my best friend :-)
I'm just saying that we all need help sometimes. If your parents are willing, let them help you until you get stronger.
