Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

Hello group. I am Sarah, a 25 year old that has suffered from depression my whole life. I recently went through a life threatening situation that helped me put things into perspective. I almost died from a Pulmonary embolism back in March. Since then I decided to get back on anti depressant medication and attend support groups. I have turned my life around.
I use to think about suicide all the time. But since my almost fatal diagnosis I take each day as a gift. It made me realise that I never really wanted to end my life. I just wanted to end the suffering of my manic depression. I wanted to be happy. Since I have been on my antidepressants they have changed my life.
I understand sadness, lose, and feeling completely hopeless. Please if any of you just need someone to talk to. Someone to listen to all the feelings that are running inside your mind. I am here. You are never alone. Reach out to me. I will not judge. I know what's it's like to feel like you have no one. I want to be there for anyone that just needs a friend that understands their suffering. ❤
