Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

I feel for you. If you need anything you got me here. If you need to message me feel free.
I do have some suggestions that worked for me that you may want to try out. I would suggest doing a little walking, 45 minutes a day should do it, while you walk put on some headphones and go to youtube and just listen to positive affirmations. Positive affirmations are great for when you feel crappy. and even when you feel better just keep at it. Also in the morning when you wake up put on those headphones again. It is all about the small little victories throughout the day, they will add up. What helped me to keep on was this thought, I can feel shitty and choose to just let it take over me or I can feel shitty and try my best to change that. As you can see the feeling shitty is a constant the only thing that changes is what you do about it. Again man if you need anything let me know.
It's like a watershed, or was for me. An ending to a way of living, and a discovery of a new one. you've gone through a door and it's a different landscape on the other side. You have to get to know the terrain and it takes time.
For ages you will have no motivation. Then you'll find yourself out in the back yard in the sun, weeding, somehow. And then one day you'll find yourself scrubbing the kitchen... and making your home nice again. We have to make our home nice because it's interconnected with our mental health.
I found getting chores done in the ads helpful. I'd watch 'hoarder' and do housework in the ads. For a long time I had to get my daughter to turn on the telly because I couldn't. I couldn't get the mail in, I couldn't turn the telly on, I couldn't put music on the stereo. I appreciated music, I appreciated watching telly... I just couldn't turn them on and could sit for hours in my chair without doing it.
It's just time that heals when it really comes down to it. If you are able to not work, I don't know if that helps. It doesn't speed time up, it slows it down. I think working is better than not working. and just fall apart when you get home.
