I must say, while standing on my porch, I look at all kinds of
trucks going by. Trucks with different logos, trucks with all kinds
of lights burning at night. I often have said to myself, "I bet that's
a lonely job." For the truck drivers to have to leave their families
and pull their load.
My exhusband years ago, would leave and stay overnight for
almost a week at a go. I had to play the roll of being a Mother
and Father to my kids. We never got use to Good Byes. It was
always heart trenching. For the Families and the Truck Drivers,
I'm so proud of you!!!! Lots of respect!

my bf/friend is a truck driver, since the age of 18. he has no experience with people and life. he has hidden away from it all being a driver :(
he is gone for a week at a time and the money is ok to survive on, but its not that good.
not to mention all the dangers of driving in the ice and snow when there are deadlines to meet. there is more to driving than people realize :(
