I am glad you have 'best friends'. Here is some sage advice ... when we are seriously depressed, usually friends/family cannot help. Best to leave them out of it .. all they do is tell you to 'feel happy'. Soooo, what do you do? You seek professional help ... from the medical profession. This is not easy for a minor to do. You would start with parents IF you think they are approachable, will listen, and be inclined to help you hook up with a therapist/counselor/mental health doctor. If they won't do that, your only other advisable choice is notify a school counselor .. who will probably consult with your parents ... which for SOME can get messy. All depends on the position your parents take.
Otherwise, ... DS is always here ... where people will TRY to help you .... but that would be VERY limited. You would have to tell us much more about your fears, family life, location, etc ... BUT REMAIN ANONYMOUS ... nothing that could IDENTIFY you. DS insists on anonymity. You could also GOOGLE TEEN DEPRESSION and see what you can find.

You are so special and so precious I am sorry you are having these struggles. Please get help. Talk to your parents, teachers, pastor if you can't talk with friends. There is help available and no one should have to deal with a hard life alone. Even if the struggles come from within you. There may be something physical that is causing this and you won't know if you don't ask. Please get the help you need now before the pressures of school are upon you.

I am praying that you will find the right person to help you. Go now and talk to your parents, a teacher or a pastor. Maybe a friend knows a pastor who can help. Please know that you are loved and you are alive for a reason. You have a purpose. You are special.

My school has a social worker who I talked to last year but my mom didn't know and since I'm old enough she didn't need to. I don't tell her a lot of things tho because of the things that go on at home or what I do I'm always scared of having to leave my mom for whatever reason. I know it's irrational but I can't help it. So I don't talk to her and I don't really talk to my friends either. I mean, I live near a church but I don't go. We used to but when my mom got sick we stopped and I want to talk to my pastor but I'm scared to tell him. I've kept depression and anxiety away from my one friend for a while but this last school year I just wasn't so good I was getting headaches literally every week and I was pale because I wasn't eating and I was dizzy and eventually she caught on and did research on headaches and told me that they are symptoms of depression and she was worried about me. I know it's a long shot but does anyone know why? I mean just the other day I had the worst migraine I've ever gotten I actually got sick. I've had headaches like to the point where it's not really "normal" since I was 9 or 10 and each year it's gotten worse but so has my depression and everything.
