Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

In January I tapered off of celexa after like 7 years. Felt like I had a sinus infection. I got prescribed prednisone. They were horrible, had me trembling. Well today I had to start back on the celexa. I don't feel too good about that....

Why don't you feel good about being on the Celexa? If it helps, you can take it as long as you need to. Meds have helped me greatly.

I don't see where you have anything to feel bad about. This happens all the time. People try going off a med and go back on it, or maybe switch to another one. You're doing what's in your best interests; you're taking care of yourself. If celexa has side effects you don't like, maybe you can ask your dr. to try something else. There's a lot of messed up people out there who never even seek treatment.

Thanks to both of you. The prednisone really did something to me had jittery and shaking. The Celexa didn't have any side effects. I needed it to deal with messed up people, so I'm back on it waiting for it to start back working again. I learned a valuable lesson. My doc said if I was on pressure medicine and it was working would I stop taking it.

It's National Doughnut Day!Which three would you like? (never mind the calories, fat, or sugar content; just go with what you would pick if none of that mattered and whatever health issues you might have that would keep you from eating one in real life can be cast aside for this exercise as well... have at it!)
