So my wife is on the medication Luvox (100mg). It makes her very tired. She is so tired she cant function. We are also trying to get pregnant (she is going to carry) and her doctor wont listen to me when I tell him that he needs to put her on something safer that will keep her mentally safe and stable so that both her and the baby (when its a successful pregnancy). I politely asked him to take her off this medication because it makes her too tired and she cant be active, since she is trying to get healthy and lose some weight and she cant even keep a normal conversation because shes falling asleep in the middle of it. Its very frustrating for me as a wife because I want to make her feel better and shes just not with this medication. So does anyone know of a medication that does not make someone tired and really helps with depression? Some of the popular ones shes already been on are Celexa, Prozac, Cymbalta, and Zoloft.

I know its really hard to find the right medication to stabilize depression, especially if youve had it for many years. I just love and care about her deeply and want to do anything I can to help her get better. If anyone has any suggestions/thoughts please feel free to let me know.
