Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

And listen.. if they don't care.. you pull up everything you have and push through... NO ONE, I MEAN, NO ONE IS WORTH YOU LOSING YOU'RE LIFE OVER... I'm here luv...
Secondly, please forgive the way this looks like an unrelated tangent, but I will tie things up in a paragraph or so.
My wife and I have had 2 children. I know a bit about pregnancy from being so close to my wife when she was pregnant. But I also learned that nobody understands pregnancy better than a woman who has had at least one child. That leaves us men out of the picture. Not totally, because we can be very understanding and supportive.
Likewise, nobody really understands depression like somebody who suffers from depression. For many of our friends asking them to understand depression is like asking a 5 year old to understand brain surgery. They can be compassionate, but they just don't understand it.
No need to apologize to friends for being who and what we are. But the trick I have found is to NOT look for more support from friends than they can give. And it is unique to each friend.
I have friends who are really sad that the Dodgers got eliminated from the playoffs. I can be supportive to them, but since I do not have the same emotions invested in the team, my supportis limited.
So welcome to a group that understands it. We have all nurtured and delivered some really nasty bouts of depression, so we get it. We understand the desire to end the suffering. We also understand that there is always a path out, and that finding that path can be hard, but rewarding when we do find it.
Welcome and gentle hugs
