Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
You really can't expect the pills to work, I'm sorry to say. When I tried it I took 85-90 morphine pills, 60 Klonopin, plus all the Promethizine I had so I wouldn't throw anything up. This was at 9:00 pm at night. I had a grand mal seizure on the bathroom floor where I was found at 6:30 am. If you read my profile you can see how sick I am. But I am still here. I've almost died two other times in the last 3 years. I don't think I get to leave here until God decides it is my time. So I am taking my life just one day at a time.
Being in a major depression is very hard to get through. I read a book about being depressed everyday that was written by a woman with clinical depression and other mental illnesses, co-wrote with her doctor. One thing she said that has worked for me is to stick my routine when I get really bad. So I get up and do what has to be done even though I don't feel like it. But I do start to feel better in just a few days. I feel good enough to try to get back into life a little. Baby steps.
I hope your feeling better soon.
