Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
and it's THEIR house. If you can't make yourself behave reasonably,
you should take yourself outside, and walk around the block -- if it's too
cold, if it's uncomfortable-- imagine your 30 year old living in your house,
talking to you any way they please.... that's uncomfortable!
You're totally focused on what you don't have and not appreciative
of the people who are helping you. Therapy is just not in most people's budgets, Boyfriends and jobs will come and go, but aging parents
won't always be there, and most have plenty of harsh realities that
they are dealing with, and could use some kindness, some help around the house.
The feelings of sadness and anger - many of them, can be pushed
out of your mind by focusing on others, finding ways to help people who are helping you -- there's always something you can do, even something small.
