Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
How can they if they dont live it. Sorry you struggle with this too.
Eventually I get up, but it sure isn't the way I would like to. I would like to be able to get right out of bed at 7:00 am and go to the gym. But that does not happen.
Spirit strong, flesh weak.
Buy the loudest, most annoying alarm clock you can find. Several of them, actually.
Put these clocks across the room, so you HAVE to physically move to turn them off.
They should be clocks that don't stop buzzing. This can harder to find, but it's probably worth it because many days I just grit my teeth and wait out my alarm clock, knowing that it will eventually shut up.
But there used to be days when the urge was stronger than my will to overcome it. So I would just give in for a day and get some rest.
You may need to find some motivation that is strong enough for you to get up for. My job has been enough for me. But you need to find something that is worth getting up for. An early date with a friend or simply an important quiet time in meditation before all the activity begins.
If you cannot get motivated enough then there is a real problem that may only be halped with professional treatment. I hope you find something. And in the mean time be careful with yourself. All the best to you. ((((( Hugs )))))
