Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
The first thing I did at the stroke of midnight was part of my New Years resolution. I pulled myelf out of an episode of feeling sorry for myself. I had been in bed all day sleeping and as a result I missed out on seeing my son and also going out with him, his girlfriend , and my husband. I didn't want it to get the best of me so I really faced it head on, reminded myself of all that I had to be grateful for, remembered people who have it worse than me, and moved on.
Wishing everyone a chance this year for new ideas and new opportunities. Hoping we can all move forward in our rcovery from depression. May we be abel to enjoy solitude without being lonely and be able to reach out for support when we need it.
Blessings to all of you for the New Year!

It's National Doughnut Day!Which three would you like? (never mind the calories, fat, or sugar content; just go with what you would pick if none of that mattered and whatever health issues you might have that would keep you from eating one in real life can be cast aside for this exercise as well... have at it!)
