Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
Please keep sharing here. We'd like to stay updated on how you're doing.
What other types of sharing have you done? Are you open with your family? (That takes time and is still difficult for me, but it can help.)
Also, I've had luck with keeping a journal and with talking on here, both sharing my own feelings and responding to other people's posts.
Setting limits!
We set limits for our parents; limits that have consequences WE can control.
Have you considered setting limits for your mother? If she is a drama queen, then odds are that adds a HUGE amount of stress in your life.
I'm really glad you posted and you are going to continue to share more with us about how you're doing and how you're feeling. I'm really glad the med seems to be helping. Yay! I'm sorry your mom is such a drama queen and manipulative. I hope you can avoid her drama and do your best to not let her manipulate you. Stay strong! I'm really proud of you! Give Super Josh a hug for me :)
Love and big hugs xoxo

Also, yes I do share how I'm doing with my husband and I meet twice a week with a woman from our church. And journaling sounds like a good idea. Thanks.
