Im driving from Ohio to California to meet the most wonderful person in my world!!!!! Its still months away but Im getting excited!!

just plan on many stops along the way. don't try to do the trip in less than two days. I'm in Pennsylvania with an aunt in California. When they drove out here it took them a few days. Enjoy the sites along the way. If you can take the northern route there and the southern route back. Mt. Rushmore isn't that far off the path as well as the Grand Canyon. Some day I'm going to do a trip like that.

Good idea! Grand canyon! Im in no hurry to get there so Ive already thought about the bad lands and a road called the dragons tale. Ive been wanting to do this for several years and now I have a strong car and enough time off work to make it happen.

make sure you always top off your gas tank when you can. I think I took the n route, I don't know if both go thru Nevada and Utah, but it gets mighty distant and deserted out there. be careful! have fun!

Thanks everyone!!! I plan on carrying an extra 10 gallons of gas in the trunk just in case.

This is going to be my all time biggest road trip ever! Maybe I could get some ideas of what to take with me so Im not caught in some trouble. So far I have a spare tire a gas can 1st aid kit road flares I have a AAA membership and a cell phone what else do I need.... Any ideas??

I never really considered moving to the west coast but I think I can honestly say that a romantic relationship is not being considered....I just want to meet the lady that has done so much for me in the past. I also don't think my girl friend would approve.
