Over the holidays, and since my breakup with my bf, I was feeling a little down. I was having a hard time on New Years Eve, and I did cry a bit. OK, a lot. I was apprehensive about running into him because he would be with his new girlfriend, and we would be in the same circles. I took it hard.

Also, over the last year, I have been doing life coaching and taking medication because I was severely depressed. Over time, I got much better and people in our support group were saying that I changed for the much, much better. I was feelling really good too.

I dont' know how to make a long story short. The reason I became severely depressed in the first place was because my career was tanking, and my colleagues and boss seemed to hate me. That was what led to the downward spiral. After a year of unemployement, which led to a suicide attempt, I came out of it. I got a prestigious job in a prestigtous part of town, (I guess this matters, I don't know) which I really liked.

Trouble is, history was repeating itself. When I began a year and a half ago, my boss hated my guts, I mean really hated. I was warned to leave. The only reason I stayed was that she was put on probation by the upper management and muzzled. I just was stunned that this could be happening, yet again.

I was warned that once her discipline might be up, that she would go right back to her behavior. Well, it's happening again. She pulled me into the office and showed me a letter from a parent, saying that I was a bad teacher, that no one learns any thing, and why throw two years away on me. The letter had some truths but was interspersed with other lies. Then there were more extra complaints from her-some things totally fabricated. The kicker of the letter was the end-that maybe I was suffering from clinical depression because I was so tired.

That did it for me. Fact is, I was a under a little malaise over the holiday, but overall, according to my coach and all the people in my support group, I was world's better.

Now, I've got four months to find another job. Here we go again, on the merry go round of bouncing from place to place. Begining to wonder if I am employable at all. And, I really liked the job, enjoyed the people and the students, but I just can't deal with the hating. That by itself really puts the nail in the coffin. We had several people leave last year, there was a total uprising, but the fact is, I have probably had two other successful, long-term job experiences (I mean like for seven years at each job) But in between, I was let go from a few.

I have a mind to change careers, and there are some things out there that look really good to me, that pay so much more with my education, that I am thinking of giving it a shot. But what if I fail yet again, I certainly seem to be really good at failure. And these are at-will jobs, not contractual jobs, where if they didn't work out, that I had no time to look for something else.

I was warned about this place the day I walked int. Some people said that the parents were vicious. They are pretty vicious everywhere. I don't know.
