Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

But you are right, its not as easy for me to move on as it is for other's. I always rehash my ability to hate myself, but then I remind myself that everything is going to be ok. For example, my latest mistake was racking up 3600 dollars in credit card debt. In order to fix my mistake, I had to open up a low interest bank loan, to pay off the credit card debt.
See, the credit card agency was charging me 19% interest, crazy right! So by doing some debt consolidation, I was able to secure a low 9.6% interest loan with my bank. By the time I pay the bank loan off I will probably be charged no more then 100 dollars worth of interest total.
Where as if I stayed making payments to my credit, I would have owned 2000 dollars worth of interest by the time it was all over! But after I stopped hating on myself, I reminded myself, look, I made a mistake, the world isn't going to end because of it, lets just fix the mistake I made, and move on.
I'm getting better at not tearing myself down but it takes work to rewrite the code your brain is used to.
Something that helps me is to ask myself " would you say this things to your best friend if she made the same mistake?" The answer is always no. That helps me to cut it off before I spiral too far.
I have had to learn, and I have managed to learn, to undo a lifetime's teaching and training inside myself, and let errors go. The more confident I have felt at work, the more able to let go I have become. The less insecure, the more prepared to make errors.
People make errors all day long. It's normal.
Second, when I can hit delete on a bad memory. Because I have OCD, bad memories rehash in my brain from time to time, I cringe heavily when I think of them. I know many on here are just like that too.
I don't sweat the little stuff, I just try to prioritize and sweat the BIG stuff, like falling in love or lust with the wrong woman for the wrong reasons, 'cuz she looks good, letting my Johnson do the thinking and talking for me, selling my soul to a job that is beneath my human dignity just to make a few bucks, or anything else that majorly undermines whatever honor, integrity and sense of morality I may have.
As far as forgetting to do the laundry or take out the garbage today, nope, I don't have that problem, I just accept that I was distracted or doing those things wasn't that important to me.
