One of my emotional outlets is writing
what i call shares ... i am able to release
in a way that i do not allow myself in conversation...
i share this side of me with very few ...
afraid of rejection and or ridicule i suppose ...
i have been in an exaggerated state of pain,
both emotional and physical since 2010...
and most of what brought it on was staged
in my life well before that...

Futile smiles

Listen.
silent the screams
Oh but not within me
slow
almost gentle ...
in the fires as it builds ..
begging for sweet release
Breath leaves shuddering
trembling ...
Ready for the scream!!!
Ohh the hushed
held
strangled scream
Rage runs hot
as it bleeds
desperate
fluid ...
with a life of its own!!
Tight held the pain.
Not just physical..
As emotions twist..
Wish that was all
But cant have that wish.
The one when naive me
Believes in happy fairy tales.
The me who not so long ago
Knew how to smile and laugh
because...
if you do it long enough
you fool even yourself!!
and how I believed that
lived it ...
knew it
then the tale I told so well ...
blinked...
breath caught
tears stopped
pain turned
hate lodged deep...
and I hugged her close and rocked us both
ohh so gently
until we found an unconscious abyss
where reality was actually real
harsh
ugly
hopeless ...
let alone those futile smiles and laughter
you did not fool yourself
whispered the voice
your simply a fool to have ever believed
