Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

Was in school and they have him a question, write down what you want to be when you grow up.
He wrote "happy"
The teachers said he didn't understand the question
He replied they didn't understand life
Like seriously
If you have the ability to be educated to x point great but if it's t point so what???
That's where your at
If your well enough to work great if not tough luck
Accept it
Don't ruin your happiness trying to achieve these goals, have you forgotten why you want to achieve them!?
Happiness yeah!!!
It all comes back to happiness and you need to cultivate a kinder inner life for yourself
If your family dont think you can do it, maybe they see you cracking under the pressure and want you to give up before you crack cos they CARE
Alternatively, if they don't believe you can do it... What motivation!!!! Go hire a private tutor, work your arse off and won't it be so smugly satisfying when you prove them wrong?
Why kill yourself? Come on now
Time to change the direction of your life... It's not making you happy
Go travelling, go do fun stuff, find a partner, join a twelve step fellowship or church, do therapy, achieve your educational goal, give up on education,
Go do something other than what your doing
Whether that be changing your inner thoughts
Ie acceptance gratitude practices etc
Changing your situation , is there free counselling at school? A disability service that will support you to pass your exams
Can you quit your course, get a small job with little stress
Can you start therapy and meditation practices?
Can you avoid
Or just stay suffering
Come on, trying to help talk you round now
You can do this
No point doing a course if it's going to kill you!!!
My son went to college and partied and we decided not to pay for the school anymore and he transferred to a local community college. And he worked hard, went to another school, got a nice job, nice house and good position.
And your parent should not care and ultimately do or should want you to be happy.
So take a step back, if this is a temporary setback, then think about whether you can continue. If not, maybe another school will be fine or other line of work. Someone posted, (not sure if this was you) about some ridiculous requirements) at a school. .
This is your life and the first goal is for you to be happy. And your parents should respect and support what you choose. And if you are pushing for some goal because your parents thought it important and feeling frustrated because they think it is very difficult, take a step back.
My son was working at a very prestigious company (saw Mick Jagger there) but was not happy. So when he talked about leaving to another position with less pressure, I told him it was his call, he left and is much happier. Guess what, your parents need to be happy in their own life, their own accomplishments and not because you are working at something perceived to be prestigious that doesn't make you happy.
Sorry to be long-winded, but take a few minutes and if this is not working, look at alternatives, if you think you can do it and its important to you, then try it with less pressure.
Please, don't give up! I know it is not easy at all, but we have to do something to keep going. Life is so hard at times......
I am here if you need to talk. Just send a message
