Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
This is my first time to be in a support group, online commuting and respond to another that is hurting as bad as myself. Your comment is my feelings too. It's asshame that the people of today do not have the love ethics as the ones of yesterday or seem to have any mercies for the ones in need today. I'm thankful I did for my family & friends when need. That's the way it should be. No Family, friend or stranger will feel or know your heart broken feelings of sickness but God does. Loneliness has been and IS a very dark area of being sick where compassion and kindness is need badly. No human on this earth can take u as far above and beyond this hurt like God can. Pay for his mercies and comfort, help you go through the day & night. I'll would like to be your friend.....

It's not something anyone can fix. And you'll go through a long process, I should think. Have operations, and chemo. It can either become a topic of coffee-table conversation, where you update people for the sake of their curiosity and they ask you how you are every five minutes to 'show you they care' - or it can be something they don't raise and leave you to tell them about when you want to.
If you have put yourself at home and you're isolating yourself waiting for people to come to you, that's depression. It's a terrible hiding to nowhere, because they will consider you to have isolated yourself for your own sake, to avoid them and to avoid questions. To avoid having to talk about it. And they will take their lead from you and stay away.
