Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
I became disabled at a young age and it was so hard to adjust to not working while everyone else around me was still employed. I completely understand the anxiety and depression surrounding that big life transition. Try to give yourself time to adjust. One thing that helped me was volunteering. Kind of gave me a sense of purpose.
Wishing you all the best.
Thanks again.
Does your wife work out if the home? Could she appreciate your help around the house? I still work, my DH (62) is retired (on disability for depression & chronic pain) and I REALLY appreciate the help around the house.
I think you will find countless opportunities to get "unstuck" if you are willing to take a tiny step outside your comfort zone.
