Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
That is just their wounded-ness talking.
Feel sorry for them and rise above it.
Yes, you be the better person because you can see beyond the damage to the light. That is grace.
"First take the beam out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye."
What beam (plank she actually used to say) is in your eye? Will it be easier to see your brother's mote when your plank is gone?
The whole problem with depression and anxiety is that it leads us to see things wrong. It leads us to paranoia, to suspicion, to fear. Depression comes with perceived disempowerment. We live in fear of other people's power over us and our minds play tricks.
It's best not, at this time, to look at the people around you and see them as evil. they are not evil. They are not characters in a horror movie, they are innocent folk just getting on with their lives. So it's best at this point to get yourself well, to get yourself off what you're on, to get your mind and emotions stable and functioning again. If you need to be booked into a medical facility you should ask dad to do it.
