I honestly am getting really confused and don't quite know how to proceed.
I feel like I am in trouble. The reason is that I have a very high-deductible insurance. I had a couple of medical emergencies and, no exaggeration, the bills were out of sight. About 300 for epinephrine pens that I had to have, then the last couple of trips to the doctor were not covered. Had to pay most up front as the deductible turned over again. I was desperate for these doctor visits, really needed them. My mom ended up giving me the cash for the epi pens as I will drop dead without them. I just can't pay the hundreds.
My work (teaching) they are not paying for the training. I went to training at 25.00 per hour. They promised it would come. It never did. Two months later still not paid. The insurance in this profession used to be really good, just a co pay. Now all I have is catastrophic insurance. Most of the supplies you have to buy out right. And, they want us to join and pay the organization that was supposed to pay for our training-and never did.
We almost waited a month for our paychecks. I was panicking. For the first year, I was paranoid after working two full weeks the money would not come. A lawsuit was initiated. How can you work for a month and not get paid? I just don't believe it. Where is the money going.
Trying to refinance the car and get some of the loan debit cancelled if I can. What has happened to teaching? There is no tenure. I have made the same amount of money for ten years, literally like a 3,000 difference-in ten years! I don't have the money to get by, barely have insurance coverage and they are literally not paying our paychecks or training. What the h*** is going on??
It is almost impossible to pay even things like car insurance, I am in a panic every minute. Not to mention, I am living in a desert, and they shut the air conditioning off the minute school is over. It is over 100 degrees in there and I am almost throwing up and my head is pounding. I can't stay after and make copies or parent calls because there is no air! Something is wrong. At our last school we were not even allowed to really use copy paper.

I HAVE TWO WORKING AC UNITS BUT DONT KNOW IF THERE WILL B A TIME THEY WILL BOTH BREAK DOWN AT THE SAME TIME.
I CANT DRIVE AND I LIVE IN SC, VERY HOT HERE IN THE SUMMER.
I HAVENT WORKED SINCE 1986, THEREFORE LITTLE LIFE SAVINGS.
I TRUST IN THE LORD ABOVE 2 SUPPLY OUR NEEDS...........

I agree, the teaching profession is not what it used to be. Your story is unfortunately, not uncommon. My friend works as a teacher in a Catholic private school, and is going through a similar circumstance. Is moving an option? Or transferring to a different school district? One plus side is claiming your out of pocket medical and school payments on your taxes. This doesn't help meet the needs of today, that's true, but it's something to look forward to. In your situation, options are somewhat limited to changing school districts, cutting expenses, and/or selling things you don't need. What might help is some accounting. Make a list of all of your expenses, highest to lowest, and begin removing the inessentials. If you need something on the list, see if you can find a cheaper alternative. Cellphone company for instance. You could switch to a pre-paid plan, something like Page Plus. My best day last year was kicking Verizon to the curb and finding myself with a $12/mo cellphone bill. High medical deductibles are a cruel joke, I'm sorry that you're dealing with this. Eventually, the deductible will be paid, that is some solace.
