Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

I understand the worry, the pain etc...and how you feel like damaged group.
You came here and posted. That's a huge step. You truly are not alone.
Please keep posting
try to get beyond these thoughts and put a plan together?
Hard as it may be sometimes opening up to a friend or family may
be a good step. Of course, choose wisely and if there is nobody that you
feel that you can trust, please call your local mental health center.
Most mental health centers are staffed 24 hours a day. You really need
to focus on you right now.
It's fine that they are using a positive risk plan but if
you are feeling that you are going to kill yourself, you
need to call them ASAP.
I know someone who killed herself on Mem. Day weekend two years ago.
One of her daughters has not been able to function since.
The impact on the lives of those that she's left behind is indescribable.
I do not mean to diminish your feelings of pain and desperation, but
just asking you to try to hesitate in acting on your impulses until you
are someplace where you can be safe for awhile.
Do you live in the US? If so, there are many resources.
Take the idea off the table. Dump the drugs ... they are no solution of any kind except maybe in a criminal execution .... and you are no criminal.
Hang out here for a bit and see what we do here. There has NEVER been an approval for suicide. Bad idea.
They are very nice and good listeners and can give you some support and coping strategies.
Your kids need their mom to be there for them. The consequences of them losing you would be devastating. And like you say, we don't know what happens to us after we die and you don't actually know if you would even "succeed" by taking those pills.
I also feel like ending my life a lot and, this might sound bad, but just daydreaming about being gone and knowing that I am not going to actually follow through can alleviate some
of the pain. I don't know if that's a great thing to say but it kind of works for me.
I come here too sometimes because at least you know you can talk with people who know what you are feeling. Sometimes writing in the "journal" section here helps, talking or writing about some of the major stressors in your life can take off a little pressure.
I hope you are feeling a little better today. Please write me anytime of you want.
That may or may not work, but it's something that has helped me when I'm really struggling (the trick is to try to stop struggling and to temporarily accept). Thinking of you
