Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

It's why groups like this are helpful. Everyone here can understand and is mindful.
I also relate to the frustration of feeling like you're stuck, just waiting for things to unfold. I feel like everything is coiled into a tight little spiral and it's getting pulled tighter all the time and I'm just waiting for the damn thing to give and finally spring apart, and I imagine that day will bring a sense of freedom and and grace and peace to my life, and everything will shift, and everything will be lighter and I'll be so grateful on that day...
But for now, I'm like you. Waiting. Hoping. Working on bettering myself in other ways. It's tough, but we're strong.
I hope your pain and frustration eases soon. In the meantime, I'd like to offer you all the gentle hugs I can spare tonight.
You are not alone.... Sending hus and support!!
I'd recommend telling your friend exactly what you've said here: that your injury is still affecting your life in this way, and also that you would like to have some friend-to-friend time with her.
It's okay and understandable for people to get frustrated from time to time. Just remember that it's not you they don't love. You are valued.
