Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
God is great and knows what he is doing. He hasn't taken you home because he has plans for you.
I can relate with you about your feelings because I had a bad experience myself yesterday. Because of the stress that had been going on in my life, I no longer feel like that free caring person I used to be, it is hard for me to just sit and relax like I used to. Yesterday I felt so restless that I could scream (I'm still feeling that way now). In fact I'm still feeling that way now. I feel very emotional and keep asking myself the question Why? I know that no one has an answer but it still hurts inside. Maybe I'm grieving the life I used to have or I don't know what it is. Anyways... it saddens me to see the depression surrounding me everyday. I'm trying not to lose hope.
In reading your post, I thought about the times my mom and I went to therapist who was suppose to help those who are hurting emotionally from depression, traumatic stress, health and so forth but guess what? she told my mom the same thing that was told to you by your counselor. So many times I had asked God to please take me now, I'm ready but I guess he did not want to hear that. Again I can relate to the feeling.
