Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
Haven't posted on this main board for a long time but have been a member of DS for about 7 years. I write mostly in my journal. Today I felt like reaching out on main board. Feeling badly. Lots of stress, loneliness. physical problems, family problems. It just starts to feel surreal, you know, when too much goes wrong for too long. Life starts to feel so dark and sinister. I can't even remember what it feels like to feel normal anymore. Have a couple of sociopaths in the family so that is not helping. Just looking for a little support. Thanks for listening.

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

Hope the dog days of summer aren't getting you down!

I hear you on loneliness but I just got back to work this last week from being off since mid march. I now have little less ability to socialize while working. I drive people as shuttle driver for tour co. The accident I had in march uncovered that I talk alot while driving people. It is being squashed by rule to not engage in conversation while driving because the customers thought I was distracted. Had bad accident.
But life goes on. Im alone at home 99 % of time here. Helps to have pet dog.
Hugs
It does start to feel overwhelming when too much happens at once or over time. I do a couple of support groups that really help me. They are on zoom but it is better than nothing. It also helps to reach out on here and also respond to others.
