Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
I recall this cycle, this feeling, and this sudden change in behavior. I have been out from habitual drug use for years and these are the effects of the withdrawal part (i think that's the right word). There are times when I am in the mood and feeling so excited to go out and meet people. At times I just want to stay in my room and sleep. At times I am so irritated and a lot of things are running through my head!
But as time went by, these strange changes died down. But I still experience the cycle. This time not from drugs, but from people around me (neighbors, workmates, friends, and relatives) who have feasted on issues from my past life and past mistakes I've made, and are constantly gossiping about them. That's where I get the depression and negative vibe from.
Can you pinpoint what triggers this strange behavior of yours?
And if you do, perhaps you can find ways to prevent it from happening, and take the appropriate steps to improvement and recovery.
You are not alone, remember that. I feel you. I am also going through what you are going through.
Hang in there. Be strong.
Hugs =)
