Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
You have to take the bull by the horns and make some changes. You can't take any more time off work: you are going to have to harden up. I say that knowing how dreadful it sounds, but it's like you just have to say 'this is it. I clearly have to become a giant asshole to survive'. And I think sometimes we do.
But thing is: some other things besides you are going to have to give. Because you've given it all. Mum's going to get no care if you're on the street. Cat's going to get no care if you're on the street.
Okay? These are finite stops in the road. These are not going to happen because your'e going to turn and defend your ability to survive, at all costs. Your back is now to the wall: you've got no more room to give.
I think it's time to get pussy put to sleep, you haven't the money to care for her and she's miserable. She'll just go to sleep, it won't hurt a bit. And give your sister a turn looking after mum. Talk to the other sibling - was it a brother or a sister? Have a family skype or even a facebook messenger group. Anything. You have to say it. "I'm sorry, I can't take care of mum any more. One of you two will have to do it. Discuss." These two are going to live off your back till you draw that line and say 'no further'. You're going to have to tell mum to go live with sister. Just tell them.
You're going to have to toughen up or you're going to end up dead. I know that sounds awful but you know it's true. You can't carry on this way. Something's got to give.
