Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
My friend's asked about my adoption over the weekend. I almost couldn't speak. I still haven't really told them about it, but just being asked about it has brought up some of the reasons why I don't speak to my family, or about them even.
It is kind of sad that my sons' have a set of grandparents that they will never meet. 3 of them never will, and one will remember my father as his uncle instead of his grandfather.
Honestly, what can I say about my adoption. I was adopted by two people who should not have been allowed to adopt a child. My father was the only one who actually wanted me. My mother only wanted to keep my father happy and in the relationship, which wasn't going to happen anyway since my father was busy having kids with my Aunt. When they first adopted me things were decent, but then as I got older, I realized that my mother didn't treat me the same as her daughter. My father tried to treat me the same as his kids, but then he had his youngest daughters with my Aunt, and my parents relationship stopped. I stayed with my mother until she shaved my head for having sex (with the Samoan heritage, hair is very precious). I went to live with my Dad. And then both of my parents went to active military duty, and I went back to the state.
I haven't seen my mother since I was 13. After the abuse case, she didn't really want anything to do with me. It's been about 9 years since I have seen my Dad or any of my siblings from his side. The last time I saw him was before I lost my custody case with my (now)12 year old. He was a character witness against me having my child, even though he knew that my ex forced me to be into a lifestyle I didn't want to be apart of. He told my ex, that he didn't want anything to do with my son either.
He wrote me off because I didn't clean to his and his wife's (my Aunt) standards. They kicked me out in the middle of the night with my (at the time) three year old son. This was before I lost my custody case. I lost my custody case just under a year later.
You could think that I would be against adoption, but I am not. But when I was asked about my experience with adoption, it brought up a lot of sadness and insecurity.

I have toys. So the ones I have not used or need any more, are gone in the trash. One of my toys is just a regular hand held massager with an attachment. The other is a real insertable toy. This morning I ordered a new toy with attachments. It is small and has a brush like attachment and the other looks like a rose with a tiny tongue. I'll get it in about 2 weeks. Rechargable and...

I can't believe this has gone on this long. So I don't have much hope of getting a tech job, but I saw an educational job that I thought might be really good. It would have been working at a university supporting high school students who are taking college classes. I did a mock interview with a friend and prepared extensively. It was at the university that I graduated from. I was very excited...
